Ethics When Playing Poker Online – Not only in the world of life that requires right and good ethics, playing a game also requires good ethics. Hello everyone, today we are going to talk about Online Poker Room Etiquette, and Good Strategy. Do’s and don’ts in the online industry. Some of these unwritten (now written) rules can and should be used when playing real “real life” poker as well. Let’s get started.
Don’t talk about your cards while the hand is still running
Whether you’ve folded or you’re still in the hand, don’t do it. Most of the times when this rule is broken is when someone has folded before the flop and will make a good hand after the flop is out. It is VERY liked online. In most real-life scenarios, this will get you kicked off that table and maybe even kicked out of the company. This is obvious because players who are still in the hand can benefit by knowing what you have or fold.
Don’t take too long to call
It’s okay to spend your time on BIG hands where a lot of money is involved but there are limits. Taking too long will not only drag the game out for others but will also cause others to lose respect for you as a card player. Losing respect can be good when you want people to call you after you’ve made a big bet but you want that respect when you DO NOT have the best hand (a bluff.) When people respect you at the card table, they’ll most likely fold to you. when you make a big bet.
Attention
This is related to the need for respect at the Poker Table. If it’s your turn and you’re not aware that you’re in “La La Land”, people will notice this and won’t want to play with you any longer. It also means you may be bored with the game and shouldn’t have played in the first place. I’ve seen this way too many times, someone loses focus, stops paying attention and the next thing you know, they drop to less than what they bought.

Don’t hold a grudge
If Bob is lucky and gets a flush in the river after you’ve made a straight nut, just let it go. Holding grudges at the poker table only leads to “Tilt.” For those who don’t know, Tilt means you get so confused and irritated with the way your last few hands went that you start making careless mistakes and it always ends up losing most, if not all, of your remaining bankroll.
Know your limits when it comes to waiting on a straight and straight line
Everyone knows the great feeling of dropping or turning straight or level. That Victory feeling that gets your blood pumping, heart pounding, and chips coming. However, don’t let your mind get the best of you when someone bets half a pot on the flop and you only need 1 card for that Nut Flush. It’s okay if the price you pay to see this bend and river is reasonable, but don’t be afraid to backtrack. Too many good players fall for this temptation and when the cards come out empty, all they have to look at is the number of chips that used to be much bigger.
If you use this strategy and the right etiquette in the poker room you play in, you will prosper most of the time. Remember that one KEY FACTOR that binds all of the above rules is Patience. Without it, you will often lose and lose.
